Introduction
Following an escapade in lively London, experience the England of very different eras. See the ancient and mysterious monoliths of Stonehenge, tour Roman Baths and later on, explore the Elizabethan town of Stratford-upon-Avon - Shakespeare's hometown - to discover England’s true hidden treasures.
Tour Itinerary
- Day 2: LONDON SIGHTSEEING
Your expert Local Guide shows you the city's major landmarks on your half-day sightseeing tour, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. The tour ends in central London, giving you the freedom to spend the rest of the day as you choose. Discover more of London's fantastic attractions or shop in the West End including the exclusive designer boutiques along Bond Street and Knightsbridge, and Harrods luxurious department store.
- Day 3: LONDON - FREE TIME
Plan the day around your interests. London is one of the most exciting cities in the world, and home to a large number of museums, art galleries, parks, theatres and concert venues. Consider a stroll through Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens. Visit an exhibition at a museum nearby or call in at Madame Tussauds or the Tate Modern. Perhaps take an excursion to the famous castle at Royal Windsor. This evening, you might like to see one of London's top stage productions in the West End.
- Day 4: BATH EXCURSION
Admire superb Georgian architecture during your visit to the spa town of Bath. Your sightseeing includes a guided tour of the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. Cross Salisbury Plain to visit the ancient monoliths at Stonehenge. Return to London via Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215.
- Day 6: LONDON - FREE TIME
On your final day, why not visit the Victoria and Albert Museum or spend time in the cafés and antique shops of fashionable Notting Hill? Consider a cruise along the River Thames to the Tower of London and Greenwich, home of the National Maritime Museum and the Greenwich Meridian. Later, you might like to experience the unique atmosphere of London's pubs, the social hub of city life!
