Day 1. Victoria
Arrive at Vancouver Airport and transfer to Victoria. Join an informal Welcome Reception this evening.
Day 2. Victoria, Butchart Gardens, Freedom of Choice Touring
This morning visit the Butchart Gardens for breakfast. Then choose from a range of touring options in Victoria.
Day 3. Georgia Strait, Whistler
You may wish to take our optional one-hour floatplane flight across stunning Georgia Strait to Whistler this morning (own expense). Alternatively, return to the mainland and head into the Coast Mountains to Whistler.
Day 4. Cariboo Region
Travel through the Cariboo before arriving at your accommodation, a Kentucky-style inn with Western hospitality.
Day 5. Mt Robson, Jasper National Park, Dine Around Dinner
Follow the famed Yellowhead Highway past Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, on the way to Jasper.
Day 6. Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise, Dine Around Dinner
Journey along the Icefields Parkway, stopping for a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. Head to Lake Louise.
Day 7. Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Dine Around Dinner
Join a Heritage Guide for a walk alongside Lake Louise. Visit Moraine Lake, then head to Banff for a ride on the Banff Gondola. Tonight enjoy our Dine Around Dinner.
Day 8. Banff Sights, Freedom of Choice Touring
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff, then join your selected touring activities, which include a helicopter flight, a cruise of Lake Minnewanka or simply an afternoon of relaxation at The Willow Spa.
Day 9. Calgary
Travel to Calgary, where you’ll experience the fever of the annual Calgary Stampede. Six major events, such as bareback-riding and steer-wrestling, as well as more than one million dollars in prize money, lure in the world’s best rodeo champions for a tournament unlike any other. Your two day ‘Stampede Thrill Package’ includes a reserved rodeo ticket for the main grandstand, gate admission and souvenir program, evening ticket to the Chuckwagon Races as well as the Grandstand Show, two Skyrides over Stampede Park, and a Calgary Stampede golf shirt and bag. There is also a range of exhibitions to explore.
Day 10. Calgary
Enjoy day two of your ‘Stampede Thrill Package’.
Day 11. Rocky Mountaineer
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train in Calgary and travel in guaranteed GoldLeaf Service. Journey across the Continental Divide to Kamloops. Tonight, you have the opportunity to see a dinner show (own expense).
Day 12. Kamloops, Vancouver
Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer today, pass Hell’s Gate and Fraser Valley to Vancouver.
Day 13. Vancouver
Take a tour of Vancouver before free time. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 14. Holland America Line Cruise
Transfer to your cruise ship and settle in.
Day 15. Cruise the Inside Passage
Enjoy a day at sea, gliding along the Inside Passage.
Day 16. Juneau
Arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s capital, at the base of grand mountains.
Day 17. Skagway
Journey to Skagway, a gateway for the gold rush. Spend time exploring a town where frontier history still lives on.
Day 18. Glacier Bay
Wake to the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park. Rangers will explain the geological wonders and point out diverse wildlife and
marine mammals.
Day 19. Ketchikan
Tour Ketchikan’s sights this afternoon including museums, Creek Street and native cultural attractions. You may also wish to sample some of the local delicacy, salmon.
Day 20. The Inside Passage
Today, continue cruising through the scenic Inside Passage.
Day 21. Vancouver
Arrive back in Vancouver and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
