Tour Details - 8 Day Provence River Cruise (Cruise Only) 2012

Day 1. Lyon, Embark
Arrive at Lyon and board your ship. Enjoy time to settle before tonight’s Welcome Reception.

Day 2. Lyon, Trévoux
Today enjoy a guided tour of Lyon, the gastronomic centre of France. Returning to your ship for lunch, you’re then able to relax on board as you cruise along the Saône River to the small historic town of Trévoux, where you’ll enjoy a walking tour.

Day 3 Trévoux, Beaujolais
Today a tour takes you behind the walls of Trévoux through Beaujolais. Visit a wine-maker in the famed Beaujolais region of France and sample the world-renowned Beaujolais for yourself.

Day 4 Vienne, Tournon
This morning, take a mini-train tour through Vienne, during which you’ll see the Roman Temple of Augustus and the medieval churches of St Andre-Le-Bas and Abbey St Pierre. Then cruise to Tournon and Tain L’Hermitage, twin towns linked by a 19th century suspension bridge.

Day 5 Tournon, Viviers
After breakfast this morning, disembark your ship and choose between a winery tour and tasting or a chocolate tasting in Tournon. Return to your ship for lunch as you cruise to Viviers. After dinner, enjoy a ‘ghost walk’ through the largely abandoned medieval town that once had more than 30,000 inhabitants.

Day 6 Viviers, Grignan, Avignon
This morning, enjoy an excursion to Grignan. Then, cruise to Avignon and take a guided tour, including the Papal Palace.

Day 7 Avignon, Les Baux, Arles
Arrive in Arles today. This morning, visit the village of Les Baux de Provence and visit a working olive mill. Leaving Les Baux, return to Arles for a walking tour or Van Gogh tour.

Day 8 Disembark Ship, Arles
After breakfast this morning, disembark your ship in Arles.
