Introduction

Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Moscow
Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a Welcome Reception this evening.
Day 2. Board the Golden Eagle
This morning transfer to the Moscow’s Yaroslavski station to join the luxurious Golden Eagle.
Day 3. Kungor, Yekaterinburg
Today travel to Kungor, which is famous for its Ice Caves, which date back some 12,000 years. Later, continue through the Ural Mountains to Yekaterinburg, Russia’s third largest city.
Day 4. Kalino
Arrive in the town of Kalino where you’ll take the opportunity to visit the preserved Perm-36 Gulag and Museum.
Day 5. Velikiy Ustyug
Today visit the official residence of Ded Moroz, who in Slav culture plays a similar role to Santa Claus, it’s located close to the town of Veliky Ustyug.
Day 6. Vorkuta
In the afternoon we arrive in the coal-mining town of Vorkuta, it was the location of one of the more notorious forced labour camps of the Gulag.
Day 7. Labitnangi
After leaving Labitnangi, make a stop in the modern and prosperous town of Salekhard for a tour. Later, you’ll stop at the Europe/Asia Monument.
Day 8. Kotlas
Kotlas is a town in the south of the Arkhangelsk Oblast region, at the confluence of the Northern Dvina and Vychegda Rivers.
Day 9. Archangel
You’ll spend today touring Archangel, on the banks of the White Sea, it was the main seaport of medieval Russia.
Day 10. Solovetsky Island
After visiting Solovetsky Monastery on Solovetsky Island this morning, travel across the Arctic Circle.
Day 11. Nikel, Murmansk
Today arrive in Nikel, on the Norwegian border for a tour. Later, in Murmansk take a city tour and visit the Nuclear Icebreaker Museum Ship.
Day 12. Onboard
Enjoy a relaxing day on board as you travel south.
Day 13. St Petersburg
After breakfast visit Catherine’s Summer Palace in Pushkin. After lunch continue to St Petersburg.
Day 14. Novgorod, Pskov
In the morning tour Novgorod, before continuing to Pskov.
Day 15. Moscow
Arrive in Moscow, late this morning. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner.
Day 16. Moscow
Your tour concludes after breakfast with a transfer to the airport.
