Tour Details - a. Kakadu, Katherine & Litchfield (Bgt); Aurora Kakadu 12/13

Day 1. Kakadu, Rock Art, Yellow Water Cruise
Travel to World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to gain an insight into the park’s history and culture. Join a guided boat cruise on Yellow Water, Kakadu’s most famous wetland area. Keep a look out for the powerful saltwater crocodiles, diverse variety of birds and beautiful waterlilies. After lunch, visit Nourlangie Rock art site to see Aboriginal paintings that date back thousands of years.

Day 2. Ubirr, East Alligator River Cruise, Darwin
Travel by 4WD to Ubirr to explore the galleries of ancient Aboriginal artwork. Enjoy lunch in the bush before joining an Aboriginal guide for the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River.

Day 3. Katherine, Nitmiluk, Leliyn (Edith Falls)
Travel to Nitmiluk National Park for a memorable cruise between the sandstone walls of spectacular Katherine Gorge. Your guide will detail the region’s flora and fauna, and explain the significance of the gorge for the Aboriginal people of this region. After a relaxing lunch, visit Leliyn where there’s the opportunity for a refreshing swim, before returning to Darwin.

Day 4. Litchfield National Park
Enter Litchfield National Park - home to sandstone outcrops, monsoonal rainforest and year-round waterfalls. Visit the double waterfall of Florence Falls then travel to Tolmer Falls. Stop for lunch (own expense), then continue to Wangi Falls for a swim in the rock pool or a nature walk to the top of the falls. On return to Darwin, stop to view the magnetic termite mounds.
