Tour Details - a. 4 Day Melbourne Stopover (Std); Welcome Hotel 11/12

Day 1. Melbourne
Welcome to Melbourne, after being transferred to your hotel, enjoy time to settle in and begin exploring Melbourne. Tonight is at our leisure to discover the eclectic charms of this cosmopolitan city.

Day 2. Melbourne City Sights Tour, Phillip Island, Little Penguin Parade
After a morning sightseeing tour of this cultivated city, including the Shrine of Remembrance, we travel to Phillip Island. ‘The Island’ is home to a wide array of wildlife, however it’s best known for the Phillip Island Penguin Parade. This evening, witness an incredible evening ritual as a colony of Little Penguins emerge from the surf with their day’s catch, and make their way up the beach to their burrows. Return to Melbourne late this evening.

Day 3. Melbourne at Leisure
Spend today at leisure in Melbourne and discover a maze of lane ways housing a selection of boutique shops, galleries and restaurants. Melbourne’s Yarra River bisects the city and the Southbank complex is a great place to enjoy a coffee. Perhaps wander to the National Sports Museum at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and uncover the city’s sporting culture. There are many other cultural venues to visit including the National Gallery of Victoria or the Botanical Gardens. Alternatively book onto one of APT’s other Melbourne Day Tours. Perhaps ride through the Dandenong Ranges on the historic steam train Puffing Billy (all activities today are at your own expense).

Day 4. Depart Melbourne
Enjoy the morning at leisure, before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
