Embark on a 22 day adventure of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam including a 8 day cruise on the Mekong River and a 2 day cruise on a luxury Junk around Ha Long Bay.
Day 1. Arrive Chiang Mai
Be met at Chiang Mai airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy some time at leisure to settle in. This evening, head to a charming local restaurant nestled right on the bank of the Ping River for a delicious dinner of Thai cuisine. Afterwards, jump into a tuk-tuk and travel through the streets to the city’s famous night bazaar for a stroll among the colourful stalls.
Day 2. Chiang Mai Sightseeing
Visit a farmhouse in Mae Rim, on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, then cruise the Mae Ping River by long-tail boat. Later, walk to Warorot fresh food market then enjoy a trishaw ride to the temple of Wat Phra Singh. Continue to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain and the most sacred in Northern Thailand. After a blessing ceremony, see the chanting of the monks and take in evening views over the city. Tonight, dine at a Khantoke-style restaurant and enjoy Northern Thai folk dancing.
Day 3. Chiang Mai, Mae Kampong, Chiang Rai
Leave Chiang Mai and travel via a local market to Mae Kampong. Here, meet some villagers, then enjoy a walk through the forest to a waterfall. Return to the village and enjoy lunch at a local family home. Afterwards, continue through the mountains into the infamous Golden Triangle region to Chiang Rai.
Day 4. Chiang Rai Sightseeing
Ride an elephant through bamboo forest, then on the border of Myanmar (formerly Burma), board a long-tail boat for a trip to the Mekong River and Don Sao, a small Laotian island. Continue by farm truck through rice paddies and farmland. Visit a hill tribe village and enjoy stunning views out over the Mekong, before exploring the old kingdom of Chiang Saen.
Day 5. Chiang Rai, Bangkok
Fly from Chiang Rai to Bangkok. Upon arrival, ride a private long-tail boat to Khlong Bang Luang, a waterway that was once a major trading route. Enjoy a puppet show before visiting the Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun. Return to the heart of Bangkok and enjoying time at leisure to go shopping at the city’s famous shopping malls.
Day 6. Bangkok Sightseeing
Early this morning, travel to Wat Po to see the monk’s chanting ritual. See the 45 metre-long reclining Buddha, The Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha.
Day 7. Bangkok, Hanoi
After breakfast, transfer to Bangkok airport and fly to Hanoi in Vietnam. Be met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner.
Day 8. Hanoi, Dine Around Dinner
Tour Hanoi then take a rickshaw ride in the Old Quarter followed by a water puppet show. Tonight, choose from five restaurants.

Day 9. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay
Board an overnight cruise on beautiful Ha Long Bay.
Day 10. Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Siem Reap
Disembark and fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia, gateway to the ruins of Angkor.
Day 11. Siem Reap, Angkor
Explore the palaces of the Angkor complex. Tonight enjoy dinner and an Apsara dance performance.
Day 12. Siem Reap, Freedom of Choice Touring, Angkor, Dine Around Dinner
Enjoy your selected touring activity in Siem Reap. Later, explore Ta Prohm and visit Angkor Wat. Enjoy a Dine Around Dinner.
Day 13. Embark Cruise
After breakfast, embark your river ship for your eight day Mekong River cruise. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with fellow travellers.
Day 14. Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Tralach, Oudong
Take a boat ride into wetlands near Kampong Chhnang. Ride an ox-cart in Kampong Tralach, then explore Oudong. Visit the Buddhist monastery then re-board your ship.
Day 15. Chong Koh, Phnom Penh
Enjoy a walk around the silk-weaving village of Chong Koh then cruise to Phnom Penh.
Day 16. Phnom Penh
See the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda on a city tour, before visiting the Killing Fields of the Khmer Rouge.
Day 17. On Board, Border Crossing, Tan Chau
Enjoy the day on board today. In the afternoon, perhaps attend a fruit-carving demonstration as your ship crosses into Vietnam. Later, arrive in the small town of Tan Chau.
Day 18. Tan Chau, Sa Dec
Tour Tan Chau by rickshaw before cruising to Sa Dec, home of Marguerite Duras, the French author of the award-winning novel, The Lover.
Day 19. Sa Dec, Cai Be
Tour Sa Dec, then visit the floating markets of Cai Be today. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner.
Day 20. Disembark Cruise, Saigon, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner
Disembark at My Tho Port and travel to Saigon. Later, enjoy your selected Freedom of Choice Touring activity. This evening, choose from five outstanding restaurants for dinner.
Day 21. Tay Ninh, Saigon
Today visit the Cu Chi Tunnels then drive to Tay Ninh and visit the Tay Ninh Holy See. Enjoy a special Farewell Dinner tonight at Xu Restaurant with Luke Nguyen’s menu and matching wines.
Day 22. Depart Saigon
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
