Tour Details - Southern Wanderer Queenstown to Christchurch

Day 1: Arrive Queenstown
On arrival at the hotel the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director. Why not experience the Kiwi Haka & Dinner tonight?

Day 2: Queenstown
This morning is free to explore Queenstown. Ask your Tour Director about optional activities like jet boating, white water rafting, wine or gardens tours. Later we take a scenic journey on the steamship TSS Earnslaw across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. Enjoy a sheep dog demonstration and a delicious carvery dinner. B HD

Day 3: Milford Sound
Discover the stunning scenery of Fiordland this morning and see the Homer Tunnel, The Chasm, Cleddau Valley, Pop's Lookout, Mirror Lake. We take a magical cruise on Milford Sound seeing Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls. Overnight in pretty Te Anau.

Day 4: Te Anau - Dunedin
Today we travel through rich fertile South Otago and enjoy time at leisure to explore charming Dunedin, founded by Scottish settlers. Perhaps visit Cadbury Chocolate Factory, take a wildlife cruise or ride the historic Taieri Gorge Railway

Day 5: Dunedin
Enjoy a guided tour at Larnach Castle, New Zealand’s only authentic castle, followed by a sightseeing tour of Dunedin. Later, we journey through Oamaru, famous for its white limestone buildings, to Twizel, gateway to Mount Cook National Park.

Day 6: Mt. Cook - Christchurch
See the fantastic scenery of Mount Cook National Park this morning (optional scenic flights available – weather permitting). Visit the beautiful turquoise Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki and see the Church of the Good Shepherd. You are Invited to enjoy a taste of country life with lunch on a working farm. Travel over colourful plains to Christchurch.

Day 7: Depart Christchurch
You will be transferred to Christchurch Airport for your onward flight. B
